Varying it up a little.

I’ve had some great Bas Ruten videos bookmarked on youtube awhile, saved for when we have a steady net connection. I’m looking forward to getting into them. They look intensely hard.. & awesome.

If you have any interest in martial arts, search "Bas Ruten MMA Workout" for some of his videos on youtube (I would post a link but the videos would disappear/ move knowing my luck).

I’ve wanted to start some kickboxing & Thai boxing training; have wanted to for a while now. My friends would probably laugh at me saying that. It seems I’m constantly saying “I’m looking for kung-fu lessons” or “I’m gonna start boxing training as soon as *insert random hurdle*” & never actually start. Yep, once again I find myself with an excuse- this time with no income, but since I don’t have classes available to me right now, I can at least learn some from Bas here in my living room.

Toxic Foods

I’ve read a few articles recently about the toxicity levels in our foods. I found it all a bit alarming, so I thought I’d share thoughts here. I gotta admit I was pretty surprised at some foods in the lists. .. read more

Indian Breads- Making mistakes is how we learn, right?

Mar 13
2009

As mentioned in a previous post, I was all excited about using some recipes from India With Passion (awesome library find). The dish I was most excited to make was an Indian bread. The recipe looked so simple, & I just love Indian breads.. of all kinds.

This recipe was for a flatbread cooked on the stovetop, similar to roti.

I tried it a week ago & for my first attempt I was pretty happy with the results.

I tried it again last night… but thought I’d experiment with it. I wanted to make a stuffed flatbread..

Don’t adjust your set

2009

You’ve come to the right place, no need to check your address bar! We’ve just been redecorating. :)

Thanks to my amazing husband, Nik, my site has had a renovation once again & I feel very much at home instantly with this one.

Thanks Nik, I think it’s beautiful.

One thing you may notice is a new button up there, “Gym”. Yep, now you can see updates on my progress.. & defeats, my good days & bad, plus all the new things I’m learning in the health & fitness dept. This area is more for myself than readers to be honest. I need a place to track my fitness, to get myself excited about improvement & collect inspirations. I’ve been following a few blogs lately, from athletes & people in the industry & I love how they get me revved up about my own fitness, & I figure by seeing my progression I can stir my own inspiration & create my own energy here. It’ll be easy to track what works for me & what holds me back when it’s laid out in front of me (& the rest of the world!) in all honesty.

So yeh… welcome home friends. Cuppa tea?
